BOARD OF DIRECTORS

PATRICK SULLIVAN

Patrick Sullivan is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer at Embree Partners. Patrick was previously a founding member and Partner at Two Creeks Capital. Prior to joining Two Creeks in 2014, he worked at Ziff Brothers Investments, Veritas Capital, and Bear, Stearns & Co. Patrick earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Vanderbilt University in 2004, where he graduated cum laude and was a member of the Vanderbilt men’s soccer team. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School. He was a member of Columbia Business School’s Applied Value Investing Program and has since served as an Adjunct Professor and guest speaker.

Patrick co-founded Big Sky Community School with his wife, Jamie, and serves as Board Chair. He grew up outside Dallas, TX, and he is forever grateful for the opportunities that the combination of education, sports, hard work, and good luck have provided. Patrick and his wife Jamie first came to Big Sky on vacation for the mountains and decided to move here full time for the community.

Patrick is also a Trustee of Cardigan Mountain School and serves on the board of the Big Sky Community Organization. He and Jamie moved to Big Sky from New York with their four children.

ERIC GOMES

Eric Gomes has worked in the ski industry for more than sixteen years. He spent four years as President and Executive Director of the Belmont Ski Education Foundation, where he was also the club's sole administrator. In one season the club grew from just over 100 athletes to nearly 300. He serves on the USSA Northern Division Board of Directors.

Today Eric is Business Development Director at Ski Club Pro, a registration and management platform built for ski and snowboard clubs. He first used it as a club administrator and a ski racing parent. Now he helps other clubs run more efficiently.

Eric and his wife are raising three ski racers who compete with the Big Sky Ski Education Foundation. When they aren't on snow, the family is usually riding singletrack or floating a new stretch of river somewhere in the West.

HOLLY HILL

Holly Hill is the Executive Director of the Gallatin Watershed Council, where she has worked since 2017 to build collaborative solutions for a healthy, resilient Gallatin Valley watershed. She has worked in the conservation nonprofit sector since 2006 and brings experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising and development, and building strong foundations for growing organizations.

Holly holds a B.A. from Carleton College. She is passionate about education that gives young people the knowledge, curiosity, and inspiration to make positive change in the world.

Holly and her husband have two daughters at Big Sky Community School. As a family, they love skiing, biking, raising forest chickens, and exploring the mountains. She is excited to serve on the BSCS Board and help strengthen the school’s foundation while supporting its mission to nurture thoughtful, capable, and engaged young people.

YARROW KRANER

Yarrow Kraner is the Founder of HATCH — and one of the original architects of social networking. In 1999, he built The Hero Network, an online community that grew to 1.5 million users before its acquisition by FOX Studios in 2003.

In 2004, he founded HATCH on a simple premise: human connection is infrastructure for systems change. HATCH functions as connective tissue across sectors, generations, and worldviews — designing high-impact summits, studio engagements, and community programs that move leaders from fragmentation to alignment, and from conversation to action. Its current focus spans climate, AI, education, entrepreneurship, food systems, democracy, and depolarization.

Over two decades, HATCH's convenings have produced outcomes at global scale: an Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit that helped catalyze the UN's 2022 Global Plastics Treaty; a Democracy Impact Lab with PolicyLink that seeded Project ALL ahead of America's 250th anniversary; a REP4 Alliance lab that concluded with twelve university presidents signing a joint commitment on reimagining the future of learning; and a NextGen lab that produced the Student Bill of Rights, unanimously adopted by the two largest school districts in the country.

Yarrow is an inducted member of the Explorers Club — joining the ranks of legends like Buzz Aldrin and Jane Goodall. He is also an Aspen Institute Fellow, an RSA Fellow, and was named one of Origin's Top 100 Creatives in the U.S. He served as a Director at Virgin Produced for five years under Sir Richard Branson, is featured in the book Talent for Humanity, and received the Audfest Impact Award in 2019.

He has led think tanks with Intel, Hasbro, Ernst & Young, NASA, and PolicyLink, and spoken at TEDx, VivaTech, EarthX, Day One in Monaco, the Business Innovation Factory Summit, and the Volcano Summit. He is executive producer of the Signal Listeners' Choice Award-winning HATCH podcast.

JAMIE SULLIVAN

Jamie Sullivan co-founded Big Sky Community School with her husband, Patrick. As Director of Operations, she runs the business side of the school: operations, enrollment, and fundraising. Jamie holds a bachelor's in Economics from the University of Virginia and a law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. She began her career as a securities litigator in New York City. She later stepped away to raise her four children.

Jamie and her family moved to Big Sky from New York for the mountains and the chance to raise their kids in a small community. She believes there's no better place to grow up, and that kids here should have the same educational opportunities as kids anywhere else.

From the start, Jamie has focused on access. Every BSCS student gets the same technology, lunch, and programming, regardless of what their family pays. Nearly half of students receive need-based aid. Jamie also works to open the school's resources to the wider community, from dryland training and SAT prep to free meeting space for local nonprofits.

SASCHA TAYLOR

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Sascha brings a creative and varied background to the board of Big Sky Community School. She studied Performing Arts at the University of New South Wales and began her career as a professional dancer and choreographer before transitioning into marketing for an Australian fashion company.

Sascha came to Big Sky with her husband, initially drawn by their shared love of skiing, but it was the close-knit community that made Big Sky feel like home. As the proud mother of one, she has a deep appreciation for the opportunities that come with raising a child in such a unique place.

She is particularly passionate about the evolving landscape of education and the possibilities that come from reimagining what a school can be. For Sascha, serving on the board of Big Sky Community School is an opportunity to help shape a fresh, forward-thinking approach to education while contributing to a community she and her family are proud to call home.
